Pet Peeves

Page history last edited by Don Pogreba 15 years, 2 months ago
  1. The word "relatable." I don't care what dictionary you found it in; I refuse to believe that it is a real word.
  2. The phrase "a prime example of..."
  3. The words "all of the sudden" seem to be popping up on television and in conversation.  The correct wording is "all of a sudden."
  4. I have noticed in the last three years that many Sophomore students don't seem to understand the concept of a compound word.  For example, often a student will place a space in words such as without (with out), which causes me to want to utter loud sounds at inappropriate moments in time.
  5. Another pet peeve of mine is the use of "should of" in the place of "should have."
